What is YOGA?

I heard of the word “yoga” around the year 2000. I did not understand the meaning until I did research on the word and what was yoga actually used for. YOGA means yoke or bind. The meaning sound really scary right? I heard from many people who supposedly knew what yoga was that it was a bad ritual people did and that they would get posses when they did it. You decide for yourself if it is something that is wrong to do after you research on your own after you read the info I found about it, The Sanskrit word   yuj  is the main place were the word YOGA comes from. It is often believe that yoga brings discipline and or union. If you see a men doing yoga , you can call him a Yogi and if you see a women doing yoga you can call her a Yogini.
